Reporting Services (SSRS)

For many years, Crystal Reports was the industry standard. SSRS offers a much better approach by offering report design tools and a deployment system in one system.  Westglenn provides help for both report design (server-side and client-side) and deployment via the Report Manager portal, email subscriptions and posting reports to SharePoint.

Analysis Services (SSAS)

SQL Server Analysis Services offers OLAP (Online Analytical Processing, as opposed to OLTP - Online Transaction Processing) cubes and data mining.  Westglenn helps design data warehouses using OLAP technology to let managers and analysts "slice and dice" their data to look for trends. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have become a very popular way to implement dashboards to let managers "manage by exception".  Executives view their most important on their home page and can instantly see if anything needs more attention. (If it does, drill down is available to analyze the data to find the root of the problem.)

Integration Services (SSIS)

The evolution of DTS (Data Transformation Services), SSIS provides excellent import-export capabilities. Westglenn uses SSIS to move data from line of business OLTP systems into data warehouses designed for reporting and analysis.
